This 10 day trip takes you on a a culinary journey of Piedmont, a region vying for the unofficial title of Italy’s best food area. We spend our days and nights walking, exploring and sampling the must have of regional delights including beef, white truffle, cheese, hazelnuts, risotto and grissini all washed down with splendid wines. The closely knitted hills and criss-cross of vineyards of the Piedmont region provide a striking landscape and secured it’s position as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is the quintessential experience for foodies who love to walk.

Arrive Milano
Day 2:
Discover Milano, fashion capital of Italy as well as Gourmet Food Walking tour.
Day 3:
Travel to Alba via Turin, explore “Capital of the Slow Food Movement”.
Day 4:
Trek 14 kms past hazelnut orchards and Tanaro River in the Langhe hills.
Day 5:
Trek 13 kms through the heart of Barolo and past many famous vineyards.
Day 6:
Trek 9 kms steeper hills with chestnut forests and past interesting castles.
Day 7:
Trek 19 kms through many small villages with views over Alta Langhe.
Day 8:
Trek 17 kms through Bararesco wine country and past the home of famous poet Cesare Pavese
Day 9:
Trek 11.5 kms returning to Alba and then on to Bra home of the Universite of Gastronomic sciences
Day 10:
Final day in Alba
