Iconic Australian hikers experience!

In the inspiring landscape of Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, GirlsTrek offer you a unique experience over 5 days. Cosy cabins and delicious dining each night will provide a place of refuge, and recovery after days trekking this beautiful landscape.

Trek Strong: Walks are 7-9 hours per day, alpine or mountains environments, weather conditions variable, long steep ascents and descents, mostly rough tracks and some rock scrambling in places. For our Level 4 trips, we request that you have the following experience/fitness to join: Experience hiking a multi-day trek in the last 4 years that required you to walk for up to 8hrs per day on undulating terrain. OR Experience hiking 2 x  GirlsTrek Level 3 trips in the past 4 years.

OVERVIEW:

Day 1: Arrive Launceston and hike Cataract Gorge 6-8km 3 hours 

Private transfer from airport, walk through the historically significant Cataract Gorge, historic hotel and dinner

Day 2: Dove Lake, Wombat Pools, Waldheim Chalet 10-12 km 6 hours

Private transfer to Cradle Mountain National Park, afternoon hike, settle into comfy Lodge for dinner

Day 3: Cradle Mountain High Circuit 12-14 km 6 hours, plus optional extension hike 10-12kms more

Breakfast at our lodge followed by a wonderous day out in the mountains. Our trek has some challenging elements today including steep climbs and windswept ridges. Extension trek available along Cradle Valley. 2 course dinner. 

Day 4: Pencil Pine and King Billy hike, Long lunch.

Morning hike and meditation, transfer to Launceston via Sheffiled Murals, free time, dinner

Day 5: Winery Lunch and Farwell 
Relaxed breakfast, optional morning walk, Winery Long Luch, transfer to airport for afternoon flights

    Pls note the accom at Cradle Mtn is comfy but cosy. The shared room has one bed and one sofa bed. Our rooms in Launceston are spacious twin share.
